This Texas humidity has caused the nuts and bolts to rust up a bit over the years. But it has been stored in a parts room (inside) and once a month I spun the inner turbine, to keep the bearings in good shape. These Prochargers use oil from the engine to keep them lubricated, but they can still whirl and whine fairly loudly as you increase the RPMs. That just lets you know that you've GOT a BEAST UNDER YOUR HOOD!
The horsepower that I gained on a stock LT-1 with this unit was unbelievable. I only had bolt on performance parts and it performed like a full race, heavily modified motor that blew the doors off all the competition. I gained over 75% in horsepower and phenomenal torque as well, at just 8 pounds of boost. I dialed it up to 12 pounds once and was virtually spinning the tires in every gear.
The LT-1 tensioner pully and block mounting plate with the long and short bolts, will come with this Procharger. But if you plan to use it on a different block application. I can pull those parts out of the box and save the new owner on shipping costs.
